DUNE PLANTING
Maintaining healthy dunes is critical for maintaining a healthy coastline. Dune grass, and the root system they provide, is an essential ingredient to this process. In past years, we were pivotal in sponsoring an annual dune-planting event, which typically occurred over Columbus Day Weekend. More recently, this activity has been delegated to professional gardeners and landscapers. But who knows, maybe next year, we could be asking you to come to the beach to plant dune grass!!
